 It's already becoming pretty obvious that like the original Gearslutz thread for New Industrial that doesn't Suck people are browsing and skimming and enjoying the content with absolutely no interest in participating or joining a community.This is the reason that this forum was created - to build a true community and not just another web resource to be mindlessly consumed by anonymous lurkers.So there needs to be incentives to make people want to become citizens and interact here. Suggestions are always welcome.... But here's some useful ideas towards this end: Some parts of this forum are for members only. Without a membership you miss out on some good things like the Conflagration Zone discussions and other future categories and threads. - Only members will be permitted to vote down music that sucks.
- Only members can participate in polls.
- Only members will receive alerts and notifications.
- Questions for interviews can only be submitted by members.
- And after the honeymoon period only members will be able to access the New Industrial category.

This forum is off to a slow start but things are picking up! There's twice as many members since I started this thread and some of them are actually participating in discussions. It's all so exciting! Nothing like some Pointer Sisters to help boost membership!  |
