It’s cool that the place was once a mausoleum showroom or whatever and as an art gallery it’s great. As a concert venue though it leaves much to be desired. Such as bathrooms! Both times I have attended concerts there the place was wall-to-wall packed and the line for the bathroom was nuts.
The layout of the place is problematic too with the stage right up along the front wall. Since audiences are thickest right in front of the stage it can be a hassle getting in and out of the front door of the place. Without some determined pushing and shoving you wind up stuck in the foyer area.
And what’s up with the beverage table not having cash to make change? Seriously uncool...
With all of the artwork hanging on the walls or standing against them nobody can lean on the wall for fear of damaging the art. And the space taken up by the floor standing art is a PITA considering how small the place is.
I like the location. Brings back memories from when I lived in the haunted house on the corner of 12th and Spring Garden besides the abandoned gas station. Had some interesting times living there.
Ultimately they need to make a decision. Are they a concert venue or an art gallery? Trying to be both isn’t working out so good.
